Responsibilities
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead day-to-day operations, ensure site performance meets KPIs, manage budgets within approved limits, and deliver yearly cost savings of over 4% (OPEX).
- Serve as the main liaison between company and client for operational matters, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and successful contract renewals.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory, safety, and health regulations; maintain zero LTI and minimal loss of primary containment (LOPC ≤ 100L/KG).
- Prepare timely management reports, operational dashboards, performance reviews, and certified work documents to support finance and billing processes.
- Monitor vendor performance, enforce cost-effective procurement practices, and sustain profitability through structured vendor programs.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure facilities meet standards during handovers, while resolving health and safety issues proactively.
- Provide operational leadership for site teams (Engineers, Executives, Supervisors), ensuring effective manpower planning, recruitment, and performance management.
- Apply company’s technology systems (Oracle and SAP) for accurate operational tracking and reporting; support digital adoption across portfolio.
- Collaborate with BD teams to prepare commercial proposals, support variation orders, and forecast billing for contract continuity and growth.
- Drive operations excellence initiatives, support special project execution and lead the development of annual operational blueprints and risk mitigation plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or any discipline from a university recognised by the Government of Malaysia.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in asset and facility maintenance management. Exposure to retail petrol station operations is an added advantage.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to prepare reports, presentation slides, and business improvement plans.
- Proficient in using SAP and Oracle systems for operational and reporting purposes.
- Fair oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across various levels.
