What you will do

The role of Key Account Manager involves developing strategic plans to sell biopharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals and other potential customers. The representative builds strong relationships with key industry stakeholders and stays updated with industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop personal and business relationships with key decision makers and key prescribers to ensure individual and team sales target are reached.

  • Raise market awareness and deliver the sales messages for Amgen Products. Focus on developing each account to its fullest potential with both face to face and virtual connections.

  • Identify customers’ unmet needs and expectations, and convert them to opportunities with sales tactics. Anticipate and adapt to environmental changes and challenges to optimize the opportunities.

  • Follow through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion.

  • Collect market intelligence, use comprehensive market insights to identify and develop new business opportunities. Facilitate discussions on new initiatives with the Sales Manager and Product Manager to ensure a competitive advantage.

  • Think outside the box, be open to different ways of working and be very comfortable with technology.

  • Collaborate with Sales Manager to develop and implement territory plan and key account plans.

  • Optimize coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Report customer activity in CRM system and ensure customer profiles are kept up to date.

  • Continuously develop and improve product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programs.

  • Ensure compliance with the company policies and the local industry’s code of conduct to ensure that the company conducts business with integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Science, Pharmacy or equivalent

  • Prior experience in niche or specialty portfolio is required and experience in Hematology or Oncology would be an added advantage

  • Proven track record of sales achievement

  • Growth-oriented mindset, self-motivated, analytical and strategic thinking

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Familiarity & experience in digital/multi-channel engagements
