Job Description

The Key Account Manager (KAM) manages and develops a set of key-account customers at the national level. They are responsible for achieving sales targets within these customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategic account plans for key customers, including setting sales targets and identifying growth opportunities.
  2. Create and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Customer Business Plan aligned with the company’s yearly objectives and strategies.
  3. Lead trading term negotiations with key customers, covering pricing, ullage, trade terms, promotions, and contractual matters to ensure customer profitability.
  4. Plan and execute promotions, including developing strategies with a N+6 planning horizon and collaborating with the Shopper Marketing team.
  5. Prepare pre-promotion approval (PPF) and post-promotion evaluations.
  6. Provide demand forecasts at SKU level for N+3 based on promotion plans and activities.
  7. Conduct business reviews and market visits, including monthly customer visits at HQ and trade visits to ensure in-store execution.
  8. Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, understanding their business needs and market landscape.
  9. Manage key account receivables, monitor aging, and coordinate with credit control and accounts receivable teams.
  10. Collaborate with internal departments such as sales, marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Sales or Modern Trade within FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG dynamics.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Good command of English.
