Junior Wordpress Web Designer (Entry-Level)

About the Role:

Clarini Online Marketing Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Wordpress Web Designer (Entry-Level) to join our growing team in our Kota Kinabalu, Sabah office. You will help us build beautiful, conversion-focused websites for our clients. You should have a keen eye for design, eager to learn, be confident in using Wordpress builders like Elementor or Divi, and be able to follow brand guidelines and UI/UX best practices. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and development within our growing digital marketing agency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build responsive websites using Wordpress and popular page builders (Elementor, Divi, Bricks, etc).
• Customize Wordpress themes and plugins according to clients' requirements.
• Translate Figma or Canva designs into fully functional websites.
• Ensure websites are responsive and optimized for various devices and browsers.
• Implement basic on-page SEO (H1s, alt text, metadata, SEO-friendly structure).
• Assist with website revisions, content updates, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist in designing landing pages, Canva graphics, and marketing materials.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on websites promptly and efficiently.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality results on time.
• Create visual assets for websites (banners, icons, sliders) using tools like Canva or Photoshop.

Requirements:

• SPM or equivalent. Diploma or certificate in IT, Graphic Design, Multimedia or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Strong portfolio with 2-3 Wordpress websites you've built (live links or screenshots).
• A strong eye for design, layout, spacing, colour, typography and visual consistency.
• Familiar with Wordpress page builders (Elementor/Divi).
• Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP (bonus).
• Familiar with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or Figma.
• Familiar with responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
• Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Able to communicate clearly, collaborate and work well with clients and other team members in a respectful and professional manner.
• Strong attention to detail and desire to improve.

Bonus Skills:

• WooCommerce setup or customization.
• Canva or Figma experience.
• Familiar with SEO best practices.
• Able to optimize site performance (speed, image compression, etc).
