Key responsibilities
Technical Execution

Perform routine maintenance, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of aircraft components such as heat exchangers, air cycle machines, valves, and starters under supervision. Use precision measuring tools and equipment to ensure components meet specifications and quality standards. Assist in diagnosing faults and executing repairs, gradually taking on more complex tasks as skills develop. Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.

Compliance and Documentation

Adhere to all safety and quality standards set by the organization and regulatory bodies such as FAA and EASA. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements. Identify and report non-conformances or deviations during maintenance activities.

Team Collaboration and Development

Work collaboratively with technicians, senior technicians, and team leads to meet production schedules and operational goals. Seek guidance and feedback from experienced colleagues to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge. Actively participate in training and development programs to advance toward the Technician role.

Operational Support

Assist in maintaining workshop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and calibrated as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and effectiveness. Execute tasks following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while also exercising sound judgment for non-standard scenarios requiring troubleshooting or escalation.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance, Aviation, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience or exposure in an aviation-related field, with foundational technical skills in aircraft component maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and precision repair processes.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, measuring equipment, and technical documentation.
  • Good attention to detail, with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning.
  • Team-oriented mindset, good communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and task execution.
  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education in related discipline.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
  • Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
  • Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
