Job description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced General Ledger Analyst (Junior or Senior) to enhance the efficiency of our Accounting & Finance Department.

Client Details

Our client is a large organization and have a significant presence in Malaysia, with their services reaching a wide customer base. They are known for their commitment to quality and exceptional customer service.

Description

  • Prepare a complete set of financial statements-including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and audit schedules-for monthly and year-end reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance with applicable accounting standards, and a strong controllership mindset.
  • Assist the Finance Manager with all aspects of year-end statutory reporting, including external audits, corporate tax, and GST filings. This includes preparing audit schedules, drafting financial statements, and managing audit queries and related issues.
  • Provide full support to the Finance Manager in the implementation of Group's internal control framework (COSO), as well as contribute to transformation initiatives and process improvement projects.
  • Contribute to the Shared Services Centre's goal of achieving a fully paperless environment by redesigning controls, workflows, and operational practices.
  • Undertake any other ad-hoc tasks or assignments as required.

Profile

A successful General Ledger Analyst should have:

  • Minimum 2-8 years of experience in GL or RTR
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
