Job description
Overview

Our client is a Malaysian subsidiary of a long-established Japanese food manufacturer founded in 1896. The company is renowned for its traditional Japanese sweets and frozen desserts, including red bean products, mochi ice cream, and other confectioneries. In Malaysia, they bring authentic Japanese flavors to local consumers while serving as a regional hub for brand expansion across Southeast Asia.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across nationwide sales channels.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
  • Ensure comprehensive market coverage and strong in-store execution in line with FMCG 5P principles.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders — including Marketing, Finance, Logistics, and Production — to ensure seamless alignment and support.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers while gaining a deep understanding of customer needs and business priorities.
  • Conduct market research to generate insights and provide strategic recommendations for improving product offerings and competitive positioning.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance and key metrics, adjusting strategies to meet or exceed targets.
  • Oversee order processing, demand forecasting, and account receivables to ensure smooth operations and financial accuracy.
Job Requirements
  • No experience is welcomed to apply. Training and guidance provided.
  • Experienced in the FMCG industry, particularly in Distributor Management, Key Account Management, or Trade/Channel Marketing, will be an added advantage.
  • A Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Highly motivated, eager to learn, and passionate about sales with a positive attitude.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Working Hour: Mon - Fri, 9:00am - 6:00pm
  • Attractive sales incentives (around 1 month salary annually)
  • Monthly fixed allowances (RM 1,750 for commuting, car, phone, and parking).
