Job Responsibility

Core Responsibilities

  1. Design & Technical Documentation
  2. Analyzing building specifications, codes, and sites
  3. Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications
  4. Using CAD software for drawings with exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and construction details
  5. Printing CAD drawing schematics for architects, construction managers, and engineers
  6. Entering CAD data into BIM systems to create 3-D models and renderings
  7. Preparing drawings, charts, and records using CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques
  8. Developing and reviewing architectural drawings, plans, and specifications
  9. Generating high-quality 3D visualizations for client presentations
  10. Preparing tender documentation and technical specifications
  11. Reviewing and coordinating M&E, structural, and other consultants' drawings

Project Management & Coordination

  1. Assisting in overall planning, implementation, and execution of projects
  2. Monitoring project progress to ensure timely completion within budget
  3. Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
  4. Preparing presentation materials for meetings
  5. Managing schedules, budgets, assets, and overall project organization
  6. Tracking resource assignments and identifying challenges proactively
  7. Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks with proper documentation
  8. Creating project debriefs and discussing lessons learned
  9. Coordinating with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  10. Preparing and reviewing project cost estimates and budgets

Site & Construction Support

  1. Visiting construction sites for measurements and dimension calculations
  2. Monitoring construction progress through site visits
  3. Conducting site analysis and feasibility studies
  4. Ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations
  5. Preparing site inspection reports
  6. Collaborating with construction teams to resolve technical issues
  7. Working with architects and engineers for building compliance

Technical Compliance & Regulatory Management

  1. Maintaining knowledge of current building codes and regulations
  2. Ensuring project compliance with standards
  3. Staying updated on regulatory changes
  4. Reviewing compliance documentation
  5. Coordinating with authorities for approvals
  6. Documenting compliance requirements and approvals

Stakeholder & Relationship Management

  1. Managing project meetings and stakeholder relationships
  2. Liaising with government, suppliers, contractors, and consultants
  3. Managing material selections and specifications
  4. Facilitating communication among project parties

Professional Development & Innovation

  1. Keeping up with new developments in architecture and technology
  2. Participating in learning activities
  3. Contributing to innovative project methods

Enhanced Technical Requirements

  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, and project management software
  • Strong understanding of building codes, construction methodologies, materials, sustainability, cost control, and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of experience in property development; exceptional fresh graduates considered
  • Registration with Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) is an advantage
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Experience with mixed-use projects is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to read/write in Chinese
  • Knowledge of property development processes and regulations
