Responsibilities:
- Assist in processing corporate action events for both local and global markets accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support the submission of client instructions to Share Registrar or Custodian within the given deadlines.
- Communicate with Share Registrar or relevant parties on corporate action matters when required.
- Monitor announcements from Bursa Malaysia and US markets to keep updated on corporate actions.
- Assist in verifying and processing dividends, interests, and other corporate events.
- Help coordinate pre-matching for share transfers and follow up with involved parties.
- Support daily settlement operations for local and international markets, focusing on equities and other financial products.
- Assist in maintaining operational controls using internal systems and tools.
- Participate in system testing (UAT) and provide feedback for improvements or updates.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports and ensuring timely submission.
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the team lead/manager.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, or related fields.
- Some working experience or internship in the financial or stockbroking industry is an advantage, but fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic understanding of Bursa Malaysia, capital market operations, or corporate actions is a plus.
- Good command of English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
- A fast learner, responsible, and detail-oriented team player with strong time management skills.
