Job summary

VAT Group in Batu Kawan, Malaysia, seeks a seasoned character to conduct engineering evaluations and supplier qualifications for metallic materials, surface treatments, and elastomer polymers. You will analyze materials, develop testing methods and perform DoE to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Perform engineering evaluations and supplier qualifications for metallic materials, surface treatments, elastomer polymers and vulcanized elastomers.
• Understand vulcanization/crosslinking mechanisms and structure-property relationships.
• Know international and VAT standards and customer requirements.
• Analyze existing/new materials and processes to identify improvement potentials.
• Review literature for process innovations and technology developments.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of materials and processes to identify improvement potentials.
• Develop product testing methods and perform DoE with reliable results.
• Provide data analysis to strengthen project back-ups.
• Initiate corrective/preventive actions from failure investigations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams on new projects and quality issues.
• Support Purchasing in sourcing and developing new supply chain concepts.
• Assist in customer certifications and audits.
• Keep practices aligned with environmental, quality, and safety policies.
