We are seeking a Junior Lawyer with 1-2 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background or knowledge in corporate & commercial law, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to manage complex legal matters in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Negotiation: Provide general legal advice, handle legal affairs and disputes related to the company, and lead negotiations on complex, high-value contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Legal Documentation: Draft, review, and manage intricate corporate commercial agreements and regulatory documents, including Sales & Purchase Agreements, Corporate Agreements, due diligence reports, and related compliance documentation.
- Clarity in Drafting: Prepare high-value legal documents that are clear, concise, and unambiguous, minimizing potential for misinterpretation or disputes.
- Issue Resolution: Identify and effectively address complex corporate and commercial issues independently, providing strategic legal advice to support business objectives.
Requirements:
- Experience: Preferably 1-2 years of legal practice experience; fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Familiarity with overseas legal systems is an advantage.
- Education: Minimum degree from an accredited law school.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability in relationship management and driving value across the business.
- Strategic Alignment: Experience in setting departmental priorities aligned with the legal department’s strategic goals and overall business objectives.
- Communication: Exceptional communication skills for providing clear instructions and information, enhancing team performance and efficiency.
- Adaptability: Result-driven, service-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills. Must be highly adaptable, independent, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Cultural Fit: Ability to thrive in a vibrant and energetic office culture, contributing positively to team dynamics.
- Language: Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia.
