Job summary

A leading company in the pharmaceutical sector seeks a Junior Laboratory & QC Technician to support the commissioning of a new small-batch plant. This role offers fresh graduates a structured 6-month traineeship, with the potential for career progression into R&D and New Product Development. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in a relevant field and some experience in quality control or laboratory work. Qualifications

  • ≥ 2 years’ QC/lab experience in pharma, medical device, food, or similar.
  • Able to work rotating day shifts Monday–Friday.
  • Experience with AAS and/or TOC analyser preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform physical & chemical tests on raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
  • Conduct visual, sensory, and packaging inspections.
  • Compile COAs and manage sample retention.

Job description

Junior Laboratory & QC Technician (Start-up Pharma Plant)

Ground-floor opportunity—help commission Malaysia’s newest small-batch pharmaceutical facility and grow with us.

Hands-on tech—daily use of AAS, TOC analysers, UV-Vis, pH/conductivity meters, and stability chambers.

Key Responsibilities

Perform physical & chemical tests on raw materials, in-process, finished-good, and stability samples using AAS, TOC, and other standard methods.

Conduct visual, sensory, and packaging inspections; report any non-conformances immediately to the QC Supervisor.

Prepare & standardize reagents; calibrate and maintain lab equipment in line with GMP/GLP.

Manage sample retention and chemical inventory; raise purchase requests before minimum stock levels are reached.

Compile COAs, SAP/LIMS data entries, and stability study reports for regulatory files.

Uphold 5S, safety, and good housekeeping practices; enforce PPE and chemical-handling rules at all times.

Support method validation, equipment qualification, and any ad hoc R&D or improvement projects.

What we’re looking for

Must-Have

Diploma/Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotech or related field

≥ 2 years’ QC/lab experience in pharma, medical device, food, or similar (fresh grads welcome via traineeship)

Able to work rotating day shifts Monday–Friday

Practical skills with AASand/orTOC analyser

Nice-to-Have

Experience with HPLC or microbiological testing

Familiarity with SAP or LIMS

Knowledge of ISO 13485 & PIC/S GMP

EPF, SOCSO, & annual leave
