Job summary

KLSMC Hospital in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Junior Hand Therapist to deliver rehabilitation services to inpatients and outpatients. You will assess patients, plan and implement treatment programs aimed at maintaining, improving or restoring function, reducing pain and preventing disability.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy, strong communication skills, and the ability to work on weekends when scheduled. APC license is required or in process.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with a Degree/BSc in Occupational Therapy or Diploma Holders with 10 year of relevant working experience.
• Able to interact with patients, employees and third parties.
• Have excellent assessment and communication skills
• Have a sound musculoskeletal background (splinting, manual therapy & exercise prescription)
• Able to work on weekends as well as public holidays when scheduled
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Applicant must be a Malaysian Citizen
• APC or applying for one (Required)

Responsibilities

• The Junior Hand Therapist will be responsible for the effective delivery of rehabilitation practices to inpatients and outpatients.
• The Junior Hand Therapist will assess patients, plan and carry out treatment programs to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.

Education

Degree/BSc in Occupational Therapy

Diploma with 10 years of relevant experience
