Job summary

Food Excellence Specialist Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Food Scientist to develop new products and improve formulations to meet customer and market requirements.

You will conduct lab trials, support scale-up, prepare technical documentation, and ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory standards. The role involves managing R&D projects, troubleshooting inquiries, and staying abreast of new ingredients and market trends. Location: Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang, Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• 1 year of relevant working experience or fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill.
• Attention to details and accuracy.
• Good command of written and spoken English; able to work in Tanjung Langsat, Pasir Gudang.

Responsibilities

• Develop new products and improve existing formulations to meet customer and market requirements.
• Conduct lab trials and support production scale-up; prepare trial report analysis.
• Prepare product formulations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Investigate and resolve product quality or processing issues.
• Evaluate new raw materials and identify product improvement and cost optimization.
• Conduct shelf-life study for new product.
• Ensure products comply with food safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
• Manage assigned R&D projects and complete them within agreed timelines.
• Support customer technical inquiries and troubleshooting.
• Keep abreast of new ingredients, technologies, and market trends to drive product innovation.
• Ensure compliance for QMS/ Food safety system (e.g. HACCP, GMP, FSSC22000, BRC, IFS, Halal) from product concept to commercialization.
• Perform other product development-related duties as assigned.
