Job Duties

Key Accountabilities

• Preparation of design drawings and calculations.
• Understand design requests from supervisors or directly from client representatives at construction sites.
• Draft designs and make calculations in consultation with supervisors and/or external design consultants.
• Submit drawings and calculations for internal and external approvals.

Design Implementation

• Liaise with the temporary works coordinator for the design of temporary works (e.g., ELS, timber falsework, steel formwork).
• Coordinate with the construction team and subcontractors to ensure adherence to drawings and designs.
• Work with onsite safety representatives to ensure compliance with safety management systems, regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Provide design expertise either directly or through external consultants.

Review & Reporting

• Conduct quality checks on construction materials, specifications, and workmanship.
• Monitor construction progress against timelines.
• Maintain records of drawings, delivery status, and timesheets according to guidelines.
• Report any non-compliance or delays promptly to supervisors and site agents.

Job Requirements

• Local graduates with a Degree or Specialist Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred.
