Shanghai StarFive Semiconductor Co., Ltd. seeks a Junior Embedded Software Engineer with a passion for embedded systems and low-level software development. You will focus on C programming and work closely with hardware engineers.

The role involves bootloader and embedded software work on ARM/RISC-V platforms, hardware bring-up, and debugging using UART/JTAG. Fresh graduates and up to 2 years of experience are welcome to apply.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong C programming skills.
• Understanding of embedded systems and MCU/MPU architecture.
• Familiarity with Linux, embedded Linux, or RTOS is an advantage.
• Exposure to UART/JTAG and debugging tools.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in developing, porting, and customizing bootloader and embedded software for embedded platforms
• Support board bring-up activities and basic hardware debugging
• Work with ARM and/or RISC-V based platforms under the guidance of senior engineers
• Assist in debugging low-level software using tools such as UART and JTAG

We're looking for a motivated Junior Embedded Software Engineer who is passionate about embedded systems and eager to build a career in low-level software development.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in developing, porting, and customizing bootloader and embedded software for embedded platforms
• Support board bring-up activities and basic hardware debugging

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• Good programming skills in C
• Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller/microprocessor architecture
• Familiarity with Linux, embedded Linux, or RTOS is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of ARM or RISC-V architecture is a plus
• Exposure to U-Boot, device tree, Linux boot process, or embedded boot concepts is an advantage
• Familiarity with debugging tools such as UART, JTAG, or GDB is a plus
• Eagerness to learn low-level software development and work closely with hardware
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Up to 2 years of experience in embedded software development is preferred
