Job Title: Junior Developer (GDW - Global Data Warehouse)
Experience Level: L2 (3–5 years)
Domain: Data – GDW
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Developer with 3–5 years of experience in data engineering and ETL development for our Global Data Warehouse (GDW) initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in tools such as Informatica, Teradata (TD), Hadoop (HD), and Oracle, and should be certified in at least two relevant technologies. Prior experience in the banking domain is essential, especially in areas such as finance analytics, regulatory reporting, and credit risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & ETL Development
Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Informatica or SAS, integrating with Teradata (FSLDM, IFX, MDM, View Point, TASM) and Hadoop environments (HDFS, Hive, HUE, Scala, AI/ML).

Database Management
Conduct data modeling, profiling, and mapping using Teradata, Hadoop Hive, and Oracle backends.

DevOps & CI/CD Integration
Work with tools like JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Query Surge to support automated testing and continuous delivery. Exposure to containerization using Red Hat OpenShift is a plus.

Banking Domain Support
Assist in building solutions for Finance Analytics, Credit Risk Analytics, and Regulatory Reporting. Knowledge of Treasury, Wealth Management, Trade Finance, and Retail Banking data models is beneficial.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

Must-Have:

Certified in at least two of the following:
Database: Teradata DB or Hadoop Hive (mandatory) with Oracle backend knowledge.
ETL Tools: Informatica or SAS.
Big Data/Data Science: HDFS, Hive, HUE, Scala, AI/ML.
Data Analytics: SAS, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Splunk, R Studio, Python.

Hands-on experience with:

Data Mapping, Data Modeling, and Data Marts development.
Teradata (FSLDM, GCFR, TD Studio, IFX, MDM, View Point, TASM).
Linux, Windows, AIX, Unix operating systems.
Banking Domain & Data Warehousing.
