About the role

We are seeking a talented Junior Designer/Draughtperson to join our dynamic team at Des Wood (M) Sdn Bhd, a leading interior design firm based in Kota Damansara, Selangor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and designs for a variety of interior projects, collaborating closely with our design team to bring our clients' visions to life.

What you'll be doing

Interpreting design briefs and sketches to create detailed technical drawings using CAD software

Producing accurate 2D and 3D drawings, plans, elevations, and other visualizations.

Liaising with clients, contractors, and other authorities to understand requirements and incorporate feedback

Ensuring compliance with relevant building regulations, safety standards, and company policies

Collaborating with the design team to develop innovative and functional interior solutions

Providing support throughout the project lifecycle, from initial concept to final installation

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field

Proven experience as a Designer or Draughtsperson, preferably in the interior design industry

Proficiency in using CAD software, such as AutoCAD and SketchUp

Strong technical drawing and visualization skills

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with clients and the design team

A passion for interior design and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics
