Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Data Scientist who is curious, analytical and commercially minded. You will work with AI engineers, software developers, product teams and industry specialists to discover intelligence from real-world data and turn it into practical capabilities.

The role focuses on building AI and data science models, analysing time-series and sensor data, and translating insights into business outcomes. 1-2 years experience required; strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and logical thinking.
• Good understanding of statistics, machine learning and data analysis.
• Experience with Python and common data science libraries.
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data.
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and model evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Analyse data from CCTV, sensors, vehicles and other sources.
• Identify patterns, anomalies and correlations that reveal insights.
• Develop methods to determine normal vs abnormal data.
• Explore multi-source data to create higher-value intelligence.
• Build and evaluate statistical, ML and AI models.
• Analyse time-series, spatial and event data.
• Prototype new analytical ideas with real customer data.
• Translate findings into practical business opportunities.
• Present results clearly to management and product teams.
