About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Junior Cook to join our dynamic team at AiLOAF Bakery & Cafe' in Shah Alam, Selangor. As a Junior Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious and visually appealing dishes, contributing to the overall culinary excellence of our cafe. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to grow and develop your skills in a fast-paced, creative environment.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of a variety of menu items, ensuring consistent quality and presentation
• Following recipes and cooking techniques precisely to maintain the high standards of our cafe
• Ensuring a clean and organised work station, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
• Collaborating with the team to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes
• Providing excellent customer service by delivering orders in a timely manner
• Participating in regular training and development opportunities to enhance your culinary skills

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar junior cook or kitchen assistant role
• A passion for food and a keen interest in the culinary arts
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Proficiency in following recipes and using kitchen equipment safely
• A willingness to learn and a commitment to continuous improvement
