Job summary

SGS is seeking an Assistant Consumer Safety Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) for our laboratory in Malaysia. The role involves operating a consumer safety lab under ISO17025, ensuring project delivery to clients, and liaising on test results and justifications. You will work on safety projects as a project engineer or reviewer and may train clients and staff.

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
Knowledge of ISO17025 laboratory quality management system.
Experience leading a team in a consumer safety laboratory.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Good command of English in written and spoken.
Strong teamwork and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

Operate consumer safety laboratory based on ISO17025 requirements and maintain accreditation in testing consumer products (Electrical & Electronics).
Ensure projects are completed according to commitments to clients.
Liaise with clients on test results and justifications.
Work on safety projects as project engineer or reviewer.
Aim to become an approved technical reviewer.
Provide technical training to clients.
Provide internal training to staff as needed.
Work on projects as assigned by management.
Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Adhere to SGS HSE policy and maintain safe work practices.
