Job summary

SGS is seeking an Assistant Consumer Safety Engineer (Electrical & Electronic) for our laboratory in Malaysia. The role involves operating a consumer safety lab under ISO17025, ensuring project delivery to clients, and liaising on test results and justifications. You will work on safety projects as a project engineer or reviewer and may train clients and staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of ISO17025 laboratory quality management system.
• Experience leading a team in a consumer safety laboratory.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Good command of English in written and spoken.
• Strong teamwork and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Operate consumer safety laboratory based on ISO17025 requirements and maintain accreditation in testing consumer products (Electrical & Electronics).
• Ensure projects are completed according to commitments to clients.
• Liaise with clients on test results and justifications.
• Work on safety projects as project engineer or reviewer.
• Aim to become an approved technical reviewer.
• Provide technical training to clients.
• Provide internal training to staff as needed.
• Work on projects as assigned by management.
• Comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
• Adhere to SGS HSE policy and maintain safe work practices.

• Operate consumer safety laboratory based on the ISO17025 requirements and maintain the accreditation inproviding consumer products safety testing, particularly in electrical and electronics
