Job summary

Stampede Solution Sdn Bhd is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to support cloud and on‑prem infrastructure powering our platforms and clients’ hosted environments. You will work with senior engineers to design, deploy, and maintain reliable, secure systems while growing toward owning your own environments.

The role emphasizes hands‑on cloud work, scripting, and operations across AWS, Azure or GCP. You will participate in migrations, implement infrastructure baselines, and contribute to DR testing

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in cloud, infrastructure or systems engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Proficient in Linux administration and comfortable with the command line.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, NAT and firewall concepts.
• Basic MySQL — read/write SQL, backup/restore, explain indexes.
• Scripting in Bash; Python preferred for automation.
• Familiar with Git and ticket/change records.
• Clear written English for documentation and ability to communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure for platforms and hosted environments.
• Run day‑to‑day operations across cloud and on‑premises — provisioning, patching, monitoring, backup, incident response.
• Participate in migration and deployment projects from environment build to go‑live support.
• Document configurations, runbooks, network diagrams and as‑built records.
• Learn the platform and grow towards owning environments of your own.
• Configure compute, storage, networking and identity on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Apply and maintain infrastructure baselines—security groups, load balancers, backups, auto‑scaling.
• Support hybrid setups linking cloud to on‑prem data centres via VPN or dedicated circuits.
• Assist with DR testing and recovery drills; monitor costs and utilization.
