We are seeking a motivated Junior Business Analyst to join our team and support the analysis and improvement of business processes in the Technology and Government sectors across Malaysia. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn and apply business analysis methodologies, with a strong interest ingovernment projects and experience or exposure to both Agile and Waterfall project environments. This position is an excellent opportunity for a junior professional looking to grow their career in business analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in conducting business analysis to identify problems, opportunities, and solutions within government-related projects.
  • Support the development and documentation of business requirements, processes, and workflows tailored to the needs of public sector clients.
  • Participate in workshops, Gemba walks, and meetings with stakeholders to gather, validate, and refine requirements.
  • Assist in analyzing and documenting the impact of proposed changes on government business processes and systems.
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and testers to support the successful implementation of solutions.
  • Help monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring alignment with governmental objectives and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation and delivery of presentations to stakeholders on findings, proposed solutions, and project progress.
  • Assist in creating and contributing to key project documents, including Business Requirements Specifications (BRS), User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Plans and Reports, and System User Manuals, ensuring that business needs are effectively captured and communicated.
  • Travel to government client sites as required to support Gemba walks, facilitate workshops, and ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field – or equivalent experience.
  • Some experience or exposure to business analysis, with a focus on government projects being an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of business analysis methodologies and frameworks (e.g., BABOK, Agile, Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with key Business Analysis techniques such as SWOT Analysis, Stakeholder Analysis, Requirements Elicitation, Process Modeling, Gap Analysis, Use Case Modeling, Data Analysis, Prototyping, Cost-Benefit Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis is an advantage.
  • A certification or ongoing pursuit of certification as a Business Analyst, such as those from IIBA or PMI, is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Proficient in basic business analysis tools such as Microsoft Visio, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility and readiness to travel within Malaysia as required.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu.
