Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Supporting the Brand Manager, Senior Brand Manager (and Marketing Manager) on the overall brand management to ensure the achievement of pre-determined profit, volume, market share and equity objectives of an assigned brand (or brands).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for assisting the Brand/Senior Brand Manager with the implementation of the annual brand plan ensuring achievement of jobs, whilst optimizing ROI in line with jobs and adopt zero-based budgeting throughout the year
  • Implement Heineken ways of working & training to ensure a consistent approach to all tasks
  • Implement and measure brand activities with full compliance as per the Annual plan/GAME Plan under the supervision and guidance of the Brand/Senior Brand Manager
  • Maximize ROI on jobs by owning and executing ‘fewer, bigger, better’ campaigns
  • Implement and evaluate activities in accordance to internal processes and procedures – budget monitoring and tracking; raising PR/PO/GRNs; preparing ARP/AERs for all major brand activities
  • Demonstrate behaviours that are consistent with company vision,purpose, values and culture that
    contribute to HMB’s total marketing team effectiveness
  • Communicate internally to ensure support from rest of HMB for brand initiatives and drive belief in activities
  • Supply input for monthly and quarterly reports of your brand, including corrective actions
  • Develop own functional and leadership competencies and skills, with reference to HMB guidelines and as per description in PDP
  • Implement and own all BTL activities and digital activations in line with the big idea/TTL campaigns that are all grounded in consumer insights
  • Key contact person for agency relationships and accountable for input to the marketing manager for yearly PRIP evaluations
  • Accountable for creating and monitoring your projects/key activities and adjust where needed to improve ROI
  • Keep track of activity performance and brand metrics through regular monitoring and reporting
  • Consulted on digital strategy and paid/owned/earned media touchpoints
  • Once agreed, responsible for implementing these paid/owned/earned touchpoints
  • Work with the Trade Marketing team to ensure activations are embedded in the channel plans and are receiving due focus.
  • Present brand ideas, brand plans, innovations to internal stakeholders via road shows and trade visits
  • Undertake regular trade visits in market to monitor brand performance and visibility in the market
  • Work with Trade Marketing to improve brand performance in all channels, based on mystery visits
  • Activate sponsorships and events in line with the brand jobs to be done
  • Develop platform/channel plans in line with the brand jobs to be done
  • Assist the Brand/Senior Brand Manager with innovations, the innovation process and packaging development.
  • Support the innovation Project Manager with relevant innovation or renovation projects
  • Track performance of innovations and evaluate according to guidelines in the ISC gate process
  • Work with Finance team and Brand/Senior Brand Manager on business cases for innovation/activation
  • Develop packaging for your brand, under supervision of the Brand/Senior Brand Manager
  • Embed innovation and support within HMB
  • Work with Trade Marketing to help organise Consumer Promotions and BTL activations (GWP, various channel promotions) that are fit for brand
  • Responsible for promotional strategy alignment with Trade Marketing for on/off premise and traditional
  • Responsible for creating your PDP with your line manager
  • Responsible for continuously working on learning to improve, with support of your manager
  • Responsible for setting SMART KPI’s for your own personal development with your manager and monitoring progress.
  • Focus on development of your capabilities and behaviours on the job, via training or via coaching

Key Requirement

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or its equivalent with 3 – 5 years marketing experience in FMCG, creative or lifestyle industries, including promotions, innovation, activations and brand planning.
  • Strong communication, persuasive and has problem solving skills
  • Resourceful, meticulous and possess strong analytical skills
