Job summary

MetLife in Asia is seeking a Junior Automation Engineer to develop, test, and support secure infrastructure automation across Asia. The role focuses on reducing manual effort, improving reliability, and building reusable automation that supports technology teams regionally.

The position involves creating Ansible playbooks, scripts, templates, and workflows, coordinating with infrastructure and service management teams, and ensuring code quality through GitHub and release practices.

Qualifications

• Develop, test, document, and maintain reusable Ansible playbooks, scripts, templates, and workflows for approved infrastructure and operational use cases.
• Create safe and supportable automation with input validation, logging, exception handling, testing evidence, and appropriate recovery considerations.
• Coordinate with infrastructure, operations and service management teams to translate regional and country requirements into standardized solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide lifecycle support for automation, including monitoring, troubleshooting, documentation, knowledge transfer, continuous improvement, and compliance with applicable MetLife security, access, change, and automation standards.
• Manage automation code through approved GitHub source‑control, peer‑review, and release practices, and support integrations with APIs, ServiceNow, inventories, cloud services, and enterprise platforms.
