Job summary

Accenture PLC in Malaysia is seeking a Jr. AS400 Developer to join the technology team, supporting investment and wealth management applications.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on development experience with RPG or COBOL 400 on the AS400 platform, and DB2 as the underlying database. You will contribute to development, maintenance, and enhancement activities, work in an Agile environment, collaborate with business analysts, QA, and other technology stakeholders, and help deliver robust

Qualifications

3–5 years of relevant software development experience.
Hands-on experience with RPG or COBOL 400.
Strong working knowledge of the AS400 (IBM i) platform.
Experience working with DB2 databases.
Understanding of Investment & Wealth management systems or processes.
Knowledge of investment advisory services, including solutions for different client segments.
Good understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, debugging, and production support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance applications supporting Investment & Wealth management processes.
Design and implement solutions using RPG or COBOL 400 on the AS400 platform.
Work with AS400/DB2 environments to develop and maintain application functionality.
Support investment advisory capabilities that address investment needs across different client segments.
Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions.
Perform application development, testing, debugging, and issue resolution.
Collaborate with business analysts, functional teams, QA teams, and other technology stakeholders.
Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development and quality standards.
Support production issues and perform root-cause analysis where required.
Contribute to continuous improvement of application development and delivery processes.
Work within an Agile development environment and participate in relevant development activities.
