ProCheckUp are looking for a self-motivated individual to join their dynamic team, in this mid-level position. We are a forward-thinking and technically minded company based in central London (next to Tottenham Court Road) and Malaysia.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES FOR JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT (based in PETALING JAYA, SELANGOR, MALAYSIA):
- Manage the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions including maintaining effective financial planning, budgeting, project issue, credit control, forecasting, cash flow management and financial analysis of the Company.
- Prepare and/or review financial and management reports for submission to the Board of Directors, Senior Management Team and regulatory authorities.
- Responsible for budgetary control, Profit & Loss forecast, Profit & Loss Statement analysis for forecast vs actual and cashflow forecast and providing commentary and analysis around the company’s performance.
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with all reporting, accounting and audit requirements imposed by regulatory bodies.
- Compute and manage the company’s taxation by ensuring that taxes are paid accurately and timely and oversee other tax matters relating Sales & Service Tax (SST) and withholding/ deferred tax.
- Review project costing & project margin analysis and liaise with Project Dept on project costing.
- Review internal control to improve cost efficiency and productivity for the company.
- Responsible to liaise with bankers, external auditors, company secretary, tax consultants, government authorities and solicitors in relating to banking facilities, accounting/tax issues and any other relevant matters.
- Prepare related party transaction.
- Ensure that journal entries are supported with relevant documents for verification and approval purpose and no omission of journal entries posting to General Ledger.
- In charge for the renewal of company general insurance policies.
- Work closely with internal departments and perform finance operations to ensure smooth operations of the company.
- Responsible to supervise, guide and coach the finance personnel in their respective job functions and ensure the department operations is running smoothly.
- Responsible for the maintenance of XERO accounting systems and Payroll systems.
- Providing financial recommendations to managers regarding initiatives to improve the company’s financial performance.
- Managing cashflow and provide cashflow forecast.
REQUIREMENTS
- Accounting qualifications such as bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or finance, professional accounting certifications such as ACCA, CA, CIMA, CPA and so on.
- Preferably a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience in computerised book-keeping and accounting functions.
