Responsibilities

• Prepare full-set accounts, bank reconciliations, and audit working papers.
• Check opening balances against latest audited reports and flag discrepancies.
• Track key deadlines for audit, tax, SST, and employer returns.
• Communicate with clients to resolve day-to-day accounting queries.
• Assist during client audits and liaise with IRB/LHDN, RMCD officers.
• Prepare and review Form E/EA, and Form BE/B/P for clients.
• Support on-site and outstation work as needed.
• Stay updated with common accounting software and best practices.
• Follow SOPs and KPIs; assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks.
• Attend technical training and industry events to grow skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Full-Set Accounts: Prepare full-set accounts, bank reconciliations, and audit working papers accurately and on time.
• Reconciliation & Ledger Checks: Check that opening balances match the latest audited reports, and raise any discrepancies or unusual transactions with the client.
• Deadline Management: Keep track of key compliance deadlines (audit, tax, SST, and employer returns) and remind clients ahead of time.
• Client Liaison: Speak directly with clients to resolve day-to-day accounting queries and explain their numbers clearly.
• Audit & Authority Support: Assist during client audits and correspond professionally with external auditors, IRB/LHDN, and Customs (RMCD) officers.
• Employer & Personal Tax Returns: Prepare and review tax forms including Form E & EA, Form BE (individual), and Form P & B (partnership/business), helping clients through the submission process.
• On-Site & Outstation Work: Support both office-based tasks and field assignments, including outstation client visits when required.
• Software & Best Practices: Stay up-to-date with common accounting software and adopt efficient ways of working.
• Teamwork & SOPs: Follow company SOPs and KPIs, collaborate with teammates, and assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks as assigned.
• Learning & Growth: Attend relevant technical training, workshops, and industry networking events to build your skills.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA foundation / LCCI / CAT).
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants with 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping, audit, or tax experience are also welcome.
• Basic understanding of full-set accounting, bookkeeping principles, and double-entry concepts.
• Familiarity with local tax forms, specifically employer forms (Form E/EA) and individual/business tax returns (Form BE, B, or P).
• Practical experience or coursework exposure to accounting software (e.g., SQL Financial, AutoCount, UBS, Xero, or QuickBooks) and basic Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, basic formulas).
