Job Summary
Junior Project Manager to support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across various departments. The Jr. Project Manager will assist senior project managers in coordinating resources, tracking progress, managing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of project goals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in project management.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Analysis scope of each project, highlight risks and assumptions, assign responsibilities and ownership, define project objectives and critical success factors, devise a delivery schedule, inform all relevant parties and monitor/ensure project delivery.
- Ensure project milestones are agreed in accordance with project plans agreed with stakeholders.
- To ensure all project deliverables meet Business User expectations and company policy.
- Ensure all relevant issues are communicated appropriately, progress report produces as requested and a pro-active containment / resolution plan devised.
- Provide assistance to team members, internal colleagues, and clients in supporting the project.
- Take clear and concise meeting minutes during discussions and follow up on action items.
- Possess or develop a basic understanding of technical/software concepts to support project execution.
- Maintain awareness of technical areas surrounding projects, industry knowledge, company organization and issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years working knowledge of project management principles would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of project management principles, e.g. Project Management Qualification (PMP), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), or equivalent experience as a project manager will be an advantage.
- Exposure to IT or software implementation environments.
- Demonstrable written and verbal communication and time management skills.
- Willingness to learn and collaborate with cross-functional business teams
- Solid documentation, organisation, time management and problem solving skills
- Able to meet deadlines and adapt quickly to a result oriented environment
