Job Opportunity - Wellsite Geologist & Operations Geologist

We’re sourcing for qualified candidates to fill the following positions:

Wellsite Geologist

  1. Certificate in Geosciences or equivalent or acceptable working experience in exploration.
  2. 10 years’ experience as wellsite and/or operations geologist.
  3. 5 – 7 years’ experience as wellsite geologist of which all must have occurred within the past 10 years.
  4. Candidate must have experience in sitting offshore Malaysia wells within the past five (5) years.
  5. Experience and knowledge of drilling operations (HPHT experience is a plus).
  6. Experience in supervision and quality control (QC) of wireline formation pressure testing operations, including sampling and fluid gradient determination.
  7. Experience and knowledge of drilling operations specific for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD).
  8. Confirmed SE Asian based, preferably Malaysian-based.
  9. Registered with the Malaysian Board of Geologists. (Require copy of certificate).

Operations Geologist

  1. Certificate in Geosciences or equivalent or acceptable working experience in exploration.
  2. 10 years’ experience as operations and/or wellsite geologist.
  3. 5 – 7 years’ experience supervising operations in offshore Malaysia of which all must have occurred within the past 10 years.
  4. Have experience and knowledge of drilling operations specific for pore pressure/frac gradient analysis, determination of safe MW window for drilling and HPHT.
  5. Be familiar with, and be able to provide expert recommendations and advice, on the latest technologies offered by the relevant service companies for Wireline, LWD and Mudlogging to cost-effectively meet the COMPANY’s Geological Objectives.
  6. Have experience in supervising LWD, formation pressure testing while drilling (FPWD) program in thin bedded reservoirs in high angle well and/or horizontal wells.
  7. Be able to provide real-time stratigraphic correlations for wellbore trajectory assessments and optimization, casing point selection, and core point determinations.
  8. Experience as operations geologist in deep water drilling is a plus.
  9. Registered with the Malaysian Board of Geologists. (Require copy of certificate)
