Job summary

A leading company is seeking a Mechanical Technician for their operations in Miri, Sarawak. The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have extensive experience in Oil & Gas facilities, specifically in project commissioning and maintenance of Mechanical Rotating equipment. Strong communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to work offshore, are essential. Sarawakians and those with a valid Sarawak Permit are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in Oil & Gas facilities.
• 6 years in project commissioning or maintenance of Mechanical Rotating equipment.
• Medical fitness for offshore work required.

We have a job opportunity for the following position:

1) Mechanical Technician

Work Location: Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia

Key Responsibilities:

1. Diploma Holder in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in Oil & Gas facilities and 6 years in project commissioning or maintenance of Mechanical Rotating equipment.
2. Minimum of 7 years experience related to Mechanical pre-commissioning, commissioning, and maintenance, preferably in Company’s engineering projects.
3. Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership/influencing skills.
4. Computer literate and skilled in MS Office; familiar with Project Completion System.
5. Hands-on experience in Mechanical Rotating Equipment Commissioning/Maintenance for Compression Projects.
6. Familiar with and able to prepare the Company’s ITR-A and ITR-B, and Commissioning Test Plans.
7. Medical fitness for offshore work.
8. Willing to go offshore and travel by air or water transport.
