about the company

Randstad has partnered with a FinTech company focusing on providing various financial services for their commercial and enterprise level clients. key responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end technical design and development of Java-based applications

• Guide and mentor a team of developers, fostering best practices in coding, architecture, and agile delivery

• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions

• Work on a mix of modern Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices) and legacy Java technologies (JSP, Servlets, Struts, etc.)

• Ensure code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD practices

• Drive the modernization of legacy applications to current tech stacks where needed

• Take ownership of technical decision-making and issue resolution

requirements:

• 6+ years of Java development experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity

• Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services

• Solid understanding of legacy Java technologies (e.g., JSP, Servlets, Struts, JDBC)

• Experience designing and developing in microservices architecture

• Familiarity with front-end integration (HTML, JavaScript) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL)

• Proficient in Git, Maven/Gradle, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills

nice to have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Prior experience in migrating legacy systems to modern Java frameworks

• Background in Agile/Scrum environments
