Glints in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is seeking a Tech Team Lead (Java) to join our dynamic team. This role blends hands-on coding with team management to drive the delivery of Java applications.

You will mentor developers, design and implement robust features, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality software for the banking/finance sector. Strong Java skills and a growth-minded leadership approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java programming; familiarity with frameworks other than Spring is acceptable.
• Fluency in English and Chinese is required.
• Experience in banking, payment, or finance industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, or ORM technologies; experience with JUnit or similar testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of developers, ensuring project goals are met while maintaining hands-on involvement in coding.
• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications focusing on clean, efficient code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Perform unit testing and ensure the robustness of applications.
