Job summary

A leading tech company in Malaysia is looking for a Java Developer to participate in developing and maintaining web applications. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Java development and database administration. Job description

Responsibilities

• Participate in developing web application in functional system.
• Regularly report and communicate status and issues to the Team Lead.
• Update, maintain and change current web application according to the requirements.
• Perform troubleshooting and debugging of the system, and resolving any/all issues found.
• Ensure all task are done within the given time, meeting if not exceeding the required quality.
• Perform unit test on all task or work done.
• Proactively resolve issues that arise during the course of the project.
• Highlight and escalate issues that cannot be resolved to Team Lead/Project Manager/ SDM or Chief Technology Officer prior to the given deadline.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Java development, application support, production server management, and database administration.

Technical Skills & Expertise

• Frontend Frameworks: (Optional: React, Angular, or Vue if applicable)
• Tools & Platforms: Apache Tomcat, Nginx, Git, Maven, Jenkins, Postman, Swagger
• Hands-on experience with database management and optimization.
• Proficiency in debugging tools (thread dumps, heap dumps) and troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
