Job summary

SICPA is seeking a software engineer to develop and maintain backend libraries and services using Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3 in an industrial automation context. You will shape technical roadmaps and release features while upholding strong design and code quality.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years' Java experience, familiarity with Angular/JS, Linux, Docker, and CI/CD, and excellent collaboration skills in a multicultural environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years as a software engineer with Java experience.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Automated unit and system testing experience.
• Familiar with Linux environment and shell scripting.
• Knowledge of Docker and containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend libraries and services using Java 17 and Spring Boot 3.
• Architect, design and implement Java applications for industrial automation.
• Participate in roadmap definition and release of software features and services.
• Maintain high standards of design and code quality.
• Apply automated testing practices (unit, component, integration).
• Work on packaging and automated deployment of software.
• Contribute to product ideas and technical/design specifications.
• Exposure to microservices architecture and agile methodologies.
