Job description

We are looking for talents who specialize in Forwarding/logistic commercial knowledge to join our International Road Freight (ITR) team.

This role will act as business development to develop potential new customer business in Road Freight and build the ITR sales pipeline in Malaysia & Singapore.

Additionally, manage the development of profitable revenue growth by maintaining and developing existing customers and ensuring a shared understanding of service expectations and solutions with both customers and the ITR Country and Regional Office.

The role requires executing the following tasks and initiatives:

  1. Acquire new customer business with solutions targeting the highest profit potential.
  2. Build, maintain, manage, and be responsible for the ITR-related sales pipeline in Malaysia & Singapore.
  3. Develop key customer relationships at the country level.
  4. Undertake leadership roles in top sales initiatives to increase ITR share of wallet.
  5. Maintain and maximize growth potential of existing customers.
  6. Create leads and follow sales opportunities within customers.
  7. Visit customers directly, spending at least half of the time in front of the customer.
  8. Respond to and manage all ITR-related customer RFIs, RFQs, and tenders within the company.
  9. Build executive relationships within assigned accounts, responding to customer needs, inquiries, and complaints.
  10. Lead customer presentations and proposals, ensuring shared understanding of service expectations and solutions.
  11. Create a competitive advantage for customers by offering value-based pricing across all services.
  12. Develop profitable revenue growth through existing customer relationships.
  13. Implement account strategies and collaborate with customers and operations to deliver high-quality service.
  14. Provide specific advice and information to country Key Account Managers to support business reviews and planning.
  15. Maintain good communication and working relationships with all units.
  16. Coordinate with stakeholders and different business units to deliver quality service.

To succeed in this role, we expect:

  1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or equivalent, with in-depth forwarding knowledge; operational experience in road freight is preferred.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in the road freight, logistics, or freight forwarding industry, especially in Malaysia & Singapore.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Malay; proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
  4. Familiarity with software, especially Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & Outlook).
  5. Attention to detail, independence, and ability to work under pressure and in a team.
  6. Strong time management, initiative, high achievement motivation, and analytical skills.
  7. Strategic thinking and an entrepreneurial, flexible attitude.
