A leading IT solutions provider in Butterworth, Penang is seeking a Technical Support Team Lead. You will assist in managing a technical support team, provide assistance to end-users, and develop training materials. Responsibilities
- Assist and report to the Business Operation Manager (IT) in managing the technical support team.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure that team members have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Provide technical assistance and support to end-users, resolving complex issues that cannot be handled by the support team.
- Investigate and analyze recurring technical issues to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices to enhance the quality of technical support services.
- Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT systems, servers, networks, and other infrastructure components.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of support processes, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of technical issues and adherence to service level agreements.
- Develop and deliver training materials and workshops to enhance the technical skills of team members and end-users.
Requirements
- Possess at least Diploma/post Graduate Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Candidate must be a Male & Chinese and able to speak and read in Mandarin (As require liaising with Mandarin speaking clients due to work nature)
- At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position
- Strong technical knowledge, strong networking capabilities and relationship management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure and a strong team player.
