Job summary

Private Advertiser in Kulai, Johor, Malaysia is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring availability, stability and performance across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will configure, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot servers (including RAID), manage backups with Veeam, monitor systems with Zabbix, and support IT security, access control, and project deployments. Strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, server administration, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience in Windows Server, Hyper-V virtualization, RAID configuration, and server hardware maintenance.
• Proficient in Veeam Backup & Replication, including backup monitoring, troubleshooting, and recovery.
• Experience with Zabbix for infrastructure and server monitoring.
• Experience with JumpServer or other privileged access management (PAM) solutions.
• Good knowledge of IT security, system hardening, patch management, access control, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Maintain physical and virtual servers for availability and performance.
• Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot servers (RAID, storage).
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Manage backups; monitor status and perform restores.
• Provide second-level support and assist IT projects.
• Assist with deployments, migrations, and new tech testing.
• Maintain infrastructure docs and support IT security/compliance.
• Work with virtualization, networking, and cloud environments.
