IT Support Manager (APAC)
Overview
Reports into the Director, Worldwide IT Support. Responsibilities include leading regional IT staff, end user support, network support, and providing test development, automation, and support for subcontract manufacturing sites.
Responsibilities
Management Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and supervise the daily activities of the regional IT staff and vendors.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with service offerings, honoring SLAs.
- Manage regional IT projects.
- Oversee IT purchases for the region and handle worldwide IT Purchase Requisitions and POs.
- Serve as the primary IT escalation manager for business leaders in the region.
- Supervise problem resolution activities and software upgrades.
- Assist in IT governance activities, including SOX governance, ISO certifications, and compliance.
- Enforce adherence to change control processes and other IT procedures.
Regional IT Support
- Manage end-user IT support activities.
- Monitor virtual environments, including host systems, server VMs, and virtual desktops, for upgrades, repairs, and proactive maintenance.
- Manage enterprise-grade compute, storage, networks, and virtualized environments.
- Monitor all servers, both physical and virtual, daily to identify, diagnose, and resolve anomalies.
- Monitor and enforce software compliance as applicable.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all servers and systems.
- Support Windows and Linux systems, business applications, and voice and data communication systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- MS, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent/higher degree.
- 10+ years in hands-on IT roles and 5+ years in IT management.
- Experience with Semiconductor R&D support and subcontractor vendor support.
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange, VMware, Windows Server, RDS, CLI tools, PowerShell, EMC Storage, Cisco Networking.
- Knowledge of Windows Server versions 2008-2019, Microsoft Exchange, IIS, SQL Server.
- Experience with VMware vSphere 7, Microsoft Hyper-V, related management tools.
- Programming skills in PowerShell, Perl, scripting utilities.
- Storage Area Network design, installation, and management experience.
- Operational experience with enterprise monitoring solutions like PRTG.
- Knowledge of server technologies such as Dell VRTX, Cisco UCS, Nutanix, EMC and Dell storage systems.
- Proficiency in Windows core services, including AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, file and print services across multiple AD forests.
- Familiarity with industry technologies like Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco UC, WebEx, Commvault, SCCM, ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, backup, and disaster recovery tools.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time.
