The IT Support Executive is responsible for supporting the company’s IT operations, infrastructure, and systems to ensure smooth daily operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, systems, and network issues (on-site and remote) to ensure smooth business operations in a hybrid work environment.
Understand user requirements and pain points, analyze root causes, and deliver practical, user-centric solutions aligned with business goals.
Manage system backup, restoration, and data recovery procedures; coordinate with vendors and Group IT for complex troubleshooting and ensure minimal downtime.
Handle end-to-end IT asset management including PC/Laptop/mobile device setup, inventory tracking, delivery, and decommissioning in compliance with company policies.
Monitor and control user access, security permissions, and server access in accordance with cybersecurity policies and best practices
Implement and maintain IT infrastructure with embedded security principles, supporting both on-premise and cloud-based environments (eg., Azure, AWS).
Provide onboarding and continuous training to end-users on systems, tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, cloud platforms), and IT security awareness to promote digital readiness.
Support IT compliance, risk management, and disaster recovery initiatives by participating in regular testing, documentation updates, and incident response activities.
Document and maintain technical information on devices, applications and system configurations for audit and operational continuity.
Actively contribute to IT-related projects including digital transformation, automation, and process improvement to drive business efficiency.
Ensure IT operations comply with Malaysian laws (Cyber Security Act 2024(Act)) (e.g., OSH Act 1994, Environmental Quality Act 1974, and Factory & Machinery Act 1967), industry quality standards (e.g., ISO, client-specific requirements).
Perform any other duties as assigned by superior, management, including project participation and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Success Requirements:
Academic Qualifications
o Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Networking,
o Credit in Mathematics (SPM or equivalent) is preferred.
o CGPA of 3.5 and above preferred.
o Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MCSA, MS365) , ITIL V4 and CompTIA Server+ Certification
will be an added advantage.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
o Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in programming, networking, and server operating systems.
o Proficient in managing Windows Servers, Hyper-V, VM Ware, Office 365, Active Directory, Group Policy (GPO), WSUS, Anti Virus and Certificate server
o Handling of Storage Server, SAN Storage and Distributed Storage
o Familiarity with SQL programming in manufacturing or industrial environments is a strong advantage.
o Solid understanding of networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, FTP’S, VLAN, WAN and SDWAN.
o Solid understanding of backup and restore softwares such as Veritas, Veeam and etc.
o Able to apprehend CCTV and door access basic technical issues and support
Additional Technology Awareness (Preferred)
o Exposure to Data Warehousing, Big Data, Power BI, and Internet of Things (IoT) will be beneficial.
o Data Analytics and Report Creation
o Exposure in Power Bi, TableU
o Understanding of POS system
o Digital Transformation knowledge IR4.0
