Overview
Generali Life (GML) IT is seeking a highly skilled IT Solution Architect to join our dynamic team. The IT Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, documenting, and leading the implementation of solutions across our business applications. This role acts as an intermediary between the business and technical teams, ensuring that our IT strategies are closely aligned with our overall business strategy. This role requires to manage and maintain the IT infrastructure of an organization's cloud computing system and will be working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud-based solutions that support business needs. The IT Solution Architect also be responsible for maintaining accurate documentation of the cloud system configuration and providing technical support to end-users. To be successful in this role, candidate should have a solid understanding of cloud computing technologies and be able to troubleshoot issues quickly.
Key Accountabilities
- Design and Implementation: Design and lead the implementation of a solutions architecture across a group of specific business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, and business requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Provide consulting support to IT teams within projects to ensure the project is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture.
- System Integration: Analyse system requirements and ensure that systems will be securely integrated with current applications.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Documentation: Document all architectural designs and analyses in a comprehensive manner for future reference.
- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends to ensure solutions are current and competitive.
- Risk Management: Evaluate project constraints and devise alternatives to reduce risks, while performing process re-engineering.
- Navigating Complex IT Ecosystems: IT Solution Architects must manage and integrate various technologies and systems, which can be complex and constantly evolving.
- Balancing Business and Technical Requirements: Ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals while meeting performance, scalability, and security requirements can be challenging.
- Managing Stakeholder Expectations: Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, developers, and end-users, requires excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ensuring Security and Compliance: Maintaining robust security measures and ensuring compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) is critical and often complex.
- Dealing with Legacy Systems: Integrating new solutions with existing legacy systems can be difficult, requiring careful planning and execution.
- Keeping Up with Technological Advancements: Staying updated with the latest technologies and trends is essential to design competitive and innovative solutions.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them while ensuring project success is a key responsibility.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master\'s degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT architecture, software development, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in software architecture, programming, and management principles. Experience with cloud-based technologies & infrastructures (e.g., AWS, Azure). Knowledge of various programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, .NET, Python). Familiarity with event-driven architecture and enabling technologies such as Kafka or other JMS-based message/event brokers.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or SAFe for Architects are preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strategic thinking and a strong understanding of business processes.
