Job summary

Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure cloud services, apply governance and security controls, optimize resources, ensure enterprise standards.
• Perform full Platform lifecycle administration, performance tuning, root-cause analysis.
• Build and improve virtualized environments, manage capacity, optimize performance, support storage/virtualization upgrades.
• Maintain and enhance platform resiliency design, support recovery operations, improve disaster recovery readiness.
• Deploy updates, configure components, troubleshoot platform issues, perform lifecycle admin and performance tuning.
• Create automation scripts, IaC templates, AI services, deployment workflows to improve consistency and scalability.
• Analyze observability data, identify trends, address performance/reliability issues.
• Perform advanced admin tasks: system refreshes, change management, cross-platform integration support.
• Help define security best practices and document procedures to avoid incidents.
• Assist writing processes for incident/change management and service requests.

Job Role Description

The IT Platform Engineer - Advanced is responsible for providing engineering and operational support for IT platform technologies to address business needs and apply new IT solutions. This role focuses on creating and managing the infrastructure and tools that business capability teams use to build and deploy applications. The goal is to provide stable, scalable, and self-service platforms, allowing teams to concentrate on application deployment without worrying about the underlying infrastructure. This involves, but is not limited to, automating tasks, providing reusable components, ensuring infrastructure and data resilience, enhancing observability, and ensuring security and compliance
This is a broad role that will have very specialized knowledge but will allow experience on a broader environment. The engineer will lead projects, begins to mentor others and ensures the effective integration and support of global IT systems

Job Role Responsibilities

• Deploy and configure cloud services, apply governance and security controls, optimize resource usage to achieve higher cost efficiency, and ensure environments comply with enterprise standards.
• Perform full Platform lifecycle administration, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis
• Build and improve virtualized environments, manage capacity, optimize performance, and support upgrades and expansions of storage and virtualization platforms
• Maintain and enhance Platform resiliency design, support recovery operations, and contribute to improving disaster recovery readiness
• Deploy updates, configure platform components, troubleshoot platform‑level issues, and ensure application environments remain stable and well‑supported also perform lifecycle administration, performance tuning, and root‑cause analysis
• Create and enhance automation scripts, IaC templates, AI services, and deployment workflows to improve consistency, reduce manual work, and support platform scalability
• Analyze observability data, identify trends, and proactively address performance or reliability issues across infrastructure and application platforms
• Perform advanced administration tasks, such as system refreshes, change management, performance troubleshooting, and cross‑platform integration support
• Help define security best practices and document procedures to avoid security incidents
• Assist on writing documented processes for incident / change management, service requests, etc.
