Job summary

ExxonMobil Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and manage network infrastructure across Upstream and Global IT environments. You will deliver network solutions with strong security, automation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include design, deployment, assessments, and escalation support, while maintaining documentation. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience and CCNA/CCNP as a bonus, with a focus on Cisco/Juniper devices.

ExxonMobil in Malaysia

In Malaysia, we host a global business and technology center in Kuala Lumpur that provides high-level information technology and engineering expertise to ExxonMobil’s Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses worldwide. In the upstream, we have interests in two Production Sharing Contracts with PETRONAS, while in the Product Solutions business, we supply a portfolio of specialty chemical products to the marketplace.

What role you will play in our team

As Network Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure to meet our company requirements. You will also deliver network solutions for various projects, ensuring optimal performance and security. You are required to collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions with other IT systems and monitor network performance through automation and provide support to any escalated issues as they arise. You are also required to maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations and processes.

What you will do

About you

Job Requirements

• Experience in design, deployment and support of network solutions.
• Strong hands-on network technical background, particularly in BGP protocol, routing, switching, and a broad understanding of WAN technologies.
• Strong network knowledge (Cisco/Juniper) - LAN and WAN network equipment and environments, analysis, routing, switching, wireless.
• Strong knowledge in network transport VSAT, MAN, MPLS/IPVPN technology and network management QoS features, DNS, DHCP, SNMP.
• Experience with network security practices and tools.
• Knowledge of Versa SD-WAN is a plus.
• University degree with emphasis in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Network or a closely related field with course work in technology-related subjects.
• More than 3 years proven experience in network design and deployment.
• Cisco certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) is a bonus.
