Reporting To: Head of Information Technology
Job Purpose:
The IT Operations Specialist will oversee SharePoint and Office 365 administration, provide IT troubleshooting support, manage IT asset procurement and tagging, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, proactive in learning new technologies, and able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while working independently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. SharePoint & Office 365 Administration
Manage SharePoint Online sites, permissions, and workflows (e.g., document libraries, lists, custom forms).
Administer Office 365 suite (Teams, OneDrive, Exchange Online, Power Platform).
Troubleshoot user access issues and automate processes using Power Automate/Power Apps.
Provide training and guidance to staff on SharePoint/Office 365 best practices.
2. IT Support & Troubleshooting
Resolve Level 1–2 IT issues (hardware/software, network, printers, etc.).
Assist with Windows/Mac OS, MS Office, and business application support.
3. IT Asset Management
Procure IT hardware/software (laptops, licenses, peripherals) and manage vendor coordination.
Ensure compliance with IT asset disposal/recycling policies.
4. Security & Compliance
Enforce data security policies (e.g., MFA, conditional access in O365).
Assist in audits and ensure IT assets are accounted for.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years in SharePoint/Office 365 administration (must-have).
3+ years Hands-on experience in IT support, troubleshooting, and asset management.
Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS).
Soft Skills:
Self-starter with ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
Strong communication (able to explain tech issues to non-IT users).
Willingness to learn new technologies (e.g., AI tools, cloud services).
