• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, switching, segmentation, NAC).
• Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (e.g. Forcepoint or similar).
• Proficiency with hypervisors (Hyper-V, Proxmox) and enterprise storage (NetApp preferred).
• Soft skills: Analytical problem-solving, structured documentation, cross-team collaboration.

Overview

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and team-oriented individual for the business area Group Functions at the Penang site as a IT Network & Virtualization Engineer.

What you will do:

• Network & Routing: Design and implement advanced network concepts, including segmentation and Network Access Control (NAC). Proactively manage component lifecycles, including upgrades, replacements, and project-driven improvements.
• Firewall and WAN: Operate and maintain the global firewall landscape in close collaboration with IT Security. Enhance connectivity between our sites and partners (knowledge with Azure Virtual WAN would be beneficial but not required).
• Virtualization & Storage: Provision, manage, and optimize hypervisors throughout their lifecycle. Administer NetApp storage systems, ensuring reliable provisioning and lifecycle management. Implement and maintain robust backup portfolios for hypervisor and storage infrastructures.

What you bring:

• At least a Bachelor's degree or higher in IT / Computer Science
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking (routing, switching, segmentation, NAC).
