IT MES Engineer (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

We specialize in high‑tech, automated production for consumer electronics, automotive and IoT industries. We are expanding our IT team and are looking for experienced MES Engineers to drive digital transformation in our factories. As an MES Engineer, you’ll lead and support digital manufacturing systems that connect machines, data and people in real time, playing a critical role in optimizing production, traceability, quality and system integration.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and optimize Manufacturing Execution System (MES) implementation to enhance production and engineering processes.
- Troubleshoot and analyze MES‑related issues, developing solutions in collaboration with IT and the team.
- Lead MES projects from conception to implementation, ensuring on‑time delivery, adherence to budget and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MES updates and new features.
- Provide training and support for MES users in production and engineering teams.
- Work closely with IT and vendors to align MES configurations with business needs.
- Maintain accurate records of MES configurations, customizations and changes.
Requirements
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in MES, production IT systems or smart factory projects.
- Prior experience in electronics or EMS factory is a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage, especially for communication with regional stakeholders and partners.
Technical Skills
- Familiar with MES platforms (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, iTAC, GE Proficy, or custom MES).
- Experience integrating MES with PLCs, barcode systems and ERP.
- Comfortable with SQL, databases and basic scripting (Python/JavaScript is a plus).
- Understanding of factory automation, OEE, SPC and traceability concepts.

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

- Able to collaborate with IT, engineering, automation and production teams.
- Clear communication skills (written and spoken English/Bahasa).
