(a) IT Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

Develop, implement, and continuously update IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks. Conduct regular IT compliance audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities, enforce regulatory compliance, and implement corrective actions. Provide training and awareness programs on IT risk management, cybersecurity, and ethical technology usage to enhance compliance across the organization.

(b) Infrastructure & Technical Support

Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, ensuring stability, security, and performance. Provide backup support for critical IT systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and respond to outages or emergencies to minimize downtime. Oversee daily IT operations, including PC support, service desk management via a ticketing system, network maintenance, asset and license inventory control, and mobile device deployment. Ensure service desk operations meet key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining high user satisfaction.

Oversee the procurement of IT hardware, software, and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, policy adherence, and risk mitigation. Manage vendor relationships by negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). Coordinate outsourcing services for offsite office IT support, ensuring smooth IT operations across all locations.

(d) IT Project Management & Office Setup

Plan, implement, and manage IT projects, ensuring proper documentation, budget control, risk assessment, and compliance with project management methodologies. Monitor post-implementation evaluations to enhance future IT projects. Provide support for new office network infrastructure planning and setup, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT systems.

(e) Cybersecurity & Emerging Technology Exploration

Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect organizational data and IT systems. Ensure compliance with the Malaysia Cybersecurity Act and the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), including data security standards, reporting obligations, and breach notification procedures. Regularly assess and enhance cybersecurity policies and procedures to address evolving threats. Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning to identify potential opportunities and risks, providing recommendations for strategic IT adoption.

(f) End-User Support & Training

Provide guidance, coaching, and training to employees on IT systems, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and cybersecurity awareness. Assist end users in troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring a user-friendly IT environment. Develop and conduct IT training sessions tailored to organizational needs, focusing on IT security, software usage, and best practices for technology adoption.

Job Requirements

Must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field.

At least 3 year(s) of IT management experience is required for this position.

Professional Certification such as MCP, MCSE, CCNA and ITIL is an added advantage.

Experience in designing, implementing and supporting the following core IT technologies is an added advantage: Windows Server, Virtualization, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, Veeam Backup, VLANs and VPN.

Hands on experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications.

Strong pc support, problem solving and analytical skill and ability to work in a team.
