Overview

To complement our team, we are looking for a customer- and teamoriented individual for the business area Group Functions at the Penang site as a IT Manager.

In the Group Functions, we support the market-oriented divisions with central services. We work together today on the solutions for tomorrow - in close cooperation with our customers and always with high quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Manage and supervise the local IT team. Ensure timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests, maintaining high service levels. Collaborate with the Local IT Director to develop IT strategies aligned with business goals.
• Oversee IT projects, including upgrades, deployments, and migrations, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes.
• Implement and enforce IT policies, standards, and security protocols to protect organizational data. Monitor system performance, conduct regular audits, and recommend improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to IT staff. Prepare regular reports on IT performance, risks, and project status for the Local IT Director.
• Stay current with emerging technology trends and recommend adoption where appropriate. Provide weekly updates in management meetings on IT progress

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT management or senior IT roles. Proven experience managing IT teams and complex IT environments.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, server management, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL is preferred. Vendor management and budgeting experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL, CISSP, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
