Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Malaysia is seeking an IT professional to bolster our datacenter and infrastructure operations. You will monitor scheduled jobs, oversee file transfers, and support monitoring systems across Windows, Linux, and HP-UX environments.

The role requires a Diploma in IT or Computer Science, at least 1 year of IT experience, and strong English communication. You will collaborate with worldwide teams and adhere to standard procedures while working shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor scheduled jobs completion and status.
• Monitor file senders and data transfers to Central systems on time.
• Handle alert monitoring across datacenter infrastructure and networks.
• Provide Level 1 support via Service Now ticketing where applicable.
• Assist with backup tools and status checks.
• Collaborate with worldwide DataCenter staffs and domain support teams.
• Ensure compliance with standard procedures and shift requirements.
• Support ongoing monitoring of application and infrastructure systems.

YOUR ROLE

• 1. Job schedulers : Ability to monitor scheduled jobs completion & status.
• 2. File Senders : Monitoring send/receive files
• Ensuring all critical files to be sent & received to Central on time to the target recipient.
• 3. Handling of several alert monitoring systems as below:
• 4. Datacenter Infrastructure Monitoring : UPS, Humidity, PAC & Water Leakage
• 5. Application & Infrastructure monitoring
• 6. Network Monitoring Systems for networking systems alert.
• 7. Service Now - Level 1 Ticket Handling Provide Level 1 services on Service Now ticket distribution and assignment correctly to the responsible team.
• 8. Backup Tools Able to work with backup tools in execution and monitoring backup status
• 9. Able to collaborate with Worldwide DataCenter staffs & other domain support teams.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

• 1. Holds a Diploma in Information Technology/Computer Science field & related preferably
• 2. Able to work on shifts (8-12 hours)
• 3. Minimum of 1 year experience in IT related field
• 4. Able to work on Windows, Linux & HPUX platforms (workstation/servers)
• 5. Proficient in English with strong communication skills
• 6. Capable of working independently with self-discipline accordingly to standard procedures.
